1 How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as soon as your date is confirmed — popular weekends, summer dates and Christmas slots fill up months ahead. We do take last-minute bookings when we have availability, so it’s always worth asking. Most clients book 3–9 months ahead, with weddings often locked in 12+ months in advance.
2 How long do you need to set up and pack down?
Setup takes around 60–90 minutes depending on which package you’ve booked and the venue. Pack-down is usually 45–60 minutes after the event ends. We’ll arrive in plenty of time before guest arrival, and our setup is included in your booking — not your playing time.
3 Do you take requests on the night?
Absolutely. Live requests are part of the fun and we welcome them all night. Through our Personal Planner, you can also pre-build a playlist of must-plays and a do-not-play list before the event — we’ll prioritise your choices and read the room for everything else.
4 What size venues can you cover?
Our equipment scales from intimate function rooms (50 guests) up to large halls and marquees (500+ guests). For very large or unusual venues, we can quote for additional speakers, sub-bass, or extra moving heads to fill the space properly. Just let us know your venue and expected guest count when you enquire.
5 Do you provide microphones for speeches?
Yes — wireless microphones are included as standard with both Classic and Premium services. Use them for speeches, toasts, MC announcements, or game-show-style events. We’ll do a sound check beforehand to make sure everything’s clear.
6 Can you act as MC for our event?
Yes. Our DJs are experienced MCs and can announce the wedding party arrival, first dance, cake cutting, awards, and any other key moments. We’ll talk through the running order with you in advance so everything flows smoothly.
7 What if our venue has a sound limiter or noise restriction?
We work with sound limiters regularly and our PA can be calibrated to stay within any venue’s dB limits. Tell us about any restrictions when you book and we’ll plan accordingly. We never compromise on sound quality — we just dial in clean, controlled volume.
8 Are you fully insured and PAT-tested?
Yes — we carry £10 million Public Liability Insurance and all of our equipment is PAT-tested annually. Many venues will ask to see certificates as part of their booking requirements; we can supply both on request from the Certificates page.
9 What happens if our DJ is ill on the day?
We have a network of trusted backup DJs we can call on in the rare event of illness or emergency. Your event will go ahead with the same equipment, music plan and Personal Planner brief — just delivered by another professional from our team. We’ve never missed an event.
10 Can we choose all of the music ourselves?
You can choose as much or as little as you like. Some clients curate every track in advance via their Personal Planner; others give us a vibe and a few must-plays then trust us to read the room. Most people land somewhere in between — a “definitely play” list, a “do not play” list, and DJ’s choice for the rest.
11 What’s the difference between Classic and Premium?
Classic is our streamlined service — high-quality sound, full lighting and a professional DJ for less formal occasions. Premium adds a slimline black sound system, starlit DJ booth (black or white & chrome for weddings), up to 4 moving head lights, and Video DJ with on-screen graphics, music videos and picture slideshows. Premium is the most popular for weddings, milestone birthdays and corporate events.
12 Do you offer packages combining disco with other services?
Yes — our Party Packages bundle disco, lighting, photo booth and light-up extras at our best prices. You can also mix and match individual services — just tell us what you’re thinking and we’ll quote.
13 How does payment and deposit work?
A small deposit secures your date, with the balance due before the event. We accept bank transfer and card. Once your deposit is in, your date is locked and we won’t double-book it. Full payment terms are sent with your booking confirmation.
14 What’s your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable as we turn away other bookings once your date is held. If you need to reschedule, we’ll do our best to move your deposit to a new date subject to availability. We always recommend taking out event insurance for peace of mind on larger bookings.
15 Do you travel? What areas do you cover?
