Magic Mirror photo booth at a wedding with pink uplighting

Photo booth hire in Reading covers our four booth types — Classic, Magic Mirror, Selfie Pod and 360 Booth — for weddings, milestones, school proms, corporate parties and brand activations across RG1–RG6, RG30, RG31 and the surrounding Berkshire postcodes. We arrive 60 minutes before the booth’s “open” time to set up, the booth then runs for the duration you’ve booked, and your guests walk away with prints in their hand and a digital gallery delivered after the event.

The four booth types — and which suits a Reading event

  • Classic Photo Booth — Curtained enclosed booth, traditional photo strip prints, great for wedding receptions and milestone birthdays where guests want a private moment for silly photos.
  • Magic Mirror — Full-length mirror with touchscreen interaction, animated graphics and signature feature. Often the crowd favourite at Reading hotel weddings.
  • 360 Booth — Motorised platform with slow-motion video. Big at corporate events and 30th birthdays — needs more floor space than the others.
  • Selfie Pod — Compact standalone pod, great for smaller Reading venues or townhouse parties, or as a secondary booth alongside the Magic Mirror.

Full booth specs, what’s included as standard, and how each one differs are all on our main Photo Booth Hire page.

What’s included with every Reading booking

Every photo booth booking includes backdrop choice (sequin shimmer in pink/blue/silver/gold, foliage wall, vintage, or custom-branded for corporate), a themed prop box, unlimited prints during the booth’s run-time, a digital gallery delivered after the event, and a booth attendant for the duration. We bring spare batteries, spare paper, and a second printer — kit failure mid-evening doesn’t happen on our watch.

Reading venues we cover

  • Royal Berkshire Hotel — Magic Mirror or Classic fit the ballroom corner near the bar.
  • Wokefield Estate — 360 Booth fits the marquee bay; Classic suits the indoor reception room.
  • Hilton Reading / Holiday Inn Reading West — Magic Mirror is most-booked here.
  • Hennerton Golf Club — Selfie Pod fits where the bigger booths don’t.
  • Madejski Stadium hospitality — 360 Booth and Magic Mirror both work; the rooms are large enough.
  • Reading Town Hall & The Mansion House — Classic enclosed for civic events; Magic Mirror for charity galas.
  • Caversham, Tilehurst & Earley private homes — Selfie Pod or Magic Mirror only — most townhouses don’t have the floor space for 360.

What you actually need to provide at your Reading venue

One standard 13A plug socket within 5 metres of the booth location, a flat floor area of around 3m × 3m (less for Selfie Pod, more for 360 Booth), and indoor placement (not on grass or under direct rain — covered marquee placement is fine). Reading hotels usually have all three sorted as standard. We bring everything else.

Frequently asked questions for Reading photo booth bookings

How long should I book the booth for at a Reading wedding?

3 hours is the typical sweet spot — long enough for evening guests to enjoy it after speeches, short enough that it doesn’t run into the wind-down. 4 hours for bigger weddings (150+ guests). The booth itself stays set up before/after; you pay for the “open” time when prints run.

Can you customise the photo template with our names or company branding?

Yes — included free. Send us a logo, names or colour palette and we’ll mock up the print template before the event for sign-off.

Do we get all the photos digitally?

Yes — an online gallery link is sent to you after the event with all photos in high resolution. Guests can also scan to grab their own copies at the booth itself.

Are you insured?

Yes — £5m public liability, PAT-tested kit. Certificates available for your venue on request.
