Your questions answered

Wedding DJ & Entertainment in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire — FAQs

How far in advance should we book a wedding DJ?
Most couples book 9–18 months ahead, especially for Saturday weddings in summer. We’ll happily provisionally hold a date while you decide. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible — always worth asking.
Do you take requests on the night?
Absolutely. Live requests are part of the fun and we encourage them. Using your Personal Planner you can also build a must-play list, a do-not-play list and special-moment cues in advance, and we’ll prioritise everything in your brief.
Can you cover ceremony, reception and evening party?
Yes — we offer a full-day package with ceremony music, drinks reception background, speeches PA, first dance, and evening disco. We coordinate timings with your venue, photographer and planner so everything flows seamlessly.
Do you provide microphones for speeches?
Yes — wireless microphones are included as standard for both Classic and Premium services. We’ll do a sound check beforehand, balance sound levels for the room, and have a backup mic ready in case anything goes wrong.
Can you handle event hosting?
Yes — our DJs are experienced wedding hosts. We’ll announce the wedding party, arrival, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss and any other key moments. We’ll run through the order with you in advance so everything happens on cue.
What if our venue has a sound limiter?
We work with sound limiters regularly. Tell us about any restrictions when you book and we’ll balance the PA to stay within limits while keeping sound clean and the dance floor energetic.
Can we add a photo booth or light-up letters?
Yes — our Party Packages bundle disco, photo booths, and light-up letters at our best prices. Diamond also includes a complimentary Audio Guestbook.
What areas do you cover?
Based in Hayes, we travel across Greater London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey and Bedfordshire — see our Areas We Cover page for more. Further afield can be arranged on request.
Do you cover wedding venues in High Wycombe?
Yes — we’re regular wedding DJs across the High Wycombe area, covering Cressex, Downley and Hazlemere (HP10, HP11, HP12, HP13) and the wider Buckinghamshire catchment. We know the road network — M40 junction 4 from Hayes is our usual route in — and which venues need extra time for load-in. Travel within this catchment comes included in every quote.
How early should we book a wedding DJ in High Wycombe?
For peak Saturdays at the bigger Buckinghamshire hotels and country-house venues near High Wycombe, most couples book 9–18 months ahead — and the busiest weekends in June, July, August and December often go even earlier. Off-peak dates — mid-week, January–February and Sundays — often have shorter-notice availability and can sometimes be booked within the same quarter. We only hold one wedding booking per date, so yours is secure once it’s in the diary.
Can you handle ceremony, drinks, dinner and evening in High Wycombe?
Yes — every wedding booking can cover the whole day if you want it to. Tasteful background music or a small PA for the ceremony (acoustic, classical or your own playlist), warm vocal-led tracks during drinks and dinner, mic support for speeches, then a proper evening disco from first dance through to last orders. For venues with a strict music cut-off — common at residential and council-run venues across Buckinghamshire — we structure the evening to peak earlier; for licensed hotels we’ll usually run right through to the end of the license.
